Avidemux is a free video editor designed for simple cutting, filtering and encoding tasks.

Ideal for simple video editing and filtering tasks, Avidemux supports a wide variety of file formats, including AVI, DVD compatible MPEG files, MP4 and ASF, using a variety of codecs.

Tasks can be automated using projects, job queue and powerful scripting.

The program was written from scratch by Mean, but code from other people and projects has been used as well.

Download from here.

Open a terminal window and type:

cd Downloads
chmod +x avidemux_2.7.1v2.appImage

Ps, move it to another folder if you like and run it from there.
