BitlBee is an IRC instant messaging gateway for Linux

Undefined

BitlBee is an IRC instant messaging gateway licensed under GPL and is therefore free software. The program communicates with the user through IRC while interacting with popular chat networks such as AIM, ICQ (both via OSCAR), Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, XMPP, and Twitter (which is certainly not a chat network).

The user's contacts are displayed like regular users on an IRC network.

For users who can not or do not want to install the program themselves but still want to use the interface, there are also servers that may be used by the public listed at bitlbee.org/main.php/servers.html.

BitlBee can be installed and used on a user's personal computer, a local server, or access to public gateway servers. A user registers with the BitlBee server for future credential storage.

Service protocols are added along with their tasks and after this the software displays the user's buddy list as regular IRC users in a channel.

Conversations may be public, or use IRC's private messaging facility.

How to install:

sudo apt-get install bitlbee

Games For Linux

Windows has always been the preferred platform for gaming, but after STEAM's interest in Linux more game developers are making their games natively available for Linux.
