C - Programming language for Linux

Undefined

The program language C was created by Dennis Ritchie at Bell Labs and released in 1972. C is one of the most popular and influential programming languages. Most of the language development took place in 1972 and in 973, it was sufficiently advanced for large parts of Unix to be rewritten.

There are C compilers for almost all platforms, and its syntax and standard libraries are standardized by ANSI and ISO.

It has inspired and laid the foundation for many other languages, such as C ++ (created by Bjarne Stroustrup at Bell Labs 1980). It is partly, but not complete, backward compatible with C, so some programs can be compiled both as C and C ++.

The latest version of C, released in 2011.

C became the dominant language of development on the Microsoft Windows platform early, but was pushed out of first C ++ (via the Microsoft Foundation Classes program library), Delphi and Visual Basic, and then C #.

About 70% of the Linux kernel is written in C, 25% in C ++ and the rest in Perl, Python etc.

Dennis Ritchie died on October 12, 2011.

You need a code compiler and the latest version of gcc is:

Version: 4.6.3
