Convert an .m4v file to .mp4 file with ffmpeg.

In order to convert or re-convert a m4v-file to mp4, you need to download and install ffmpeg.

This of course means you need to use the terminal and commands in order to achive your goal.

Convert an .m4v file to .mp4 file.

How to install:

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg

Press Enter.

Change to the folder of the m4v-file and copy its name in full like this example:

ffmpeg -i input.m4v out.mp4

Press Enter and just wait.

Test the file and if it doesn't work, you need a different codec, which means you need to search the web.
