Lshw is a simple, yet full-featured utility that provides detailed information on the hardware configuration of a Linux system.

How to install via a terminal window:

sudo apt-get install lshw

Press Enter,

Note: You need to be superuser (root), to run the program.

Type the following command:

sudo lshw -class disk

Press Enter.

Find hard disk drive details using lshw.

Displays only the name of the disks.

sudo lshw -short -C disk

Press Enter.
