GNU Wget Software for retrieving files ( cli-based ).

GNU Wget is a free software package for retrieving files using HTTP(S) and FTP, the most widely-used Internet protocols. It is a non-interactive command line tool, so it may easily be called from scripts, cron jobs, terminals without X-Windows support.

 Its name derives from World Wide Web and get.

Its features include recursive download, conversion of links for offline viewing of local HTML, and support for proxies. It appeared in 1996, coinciding with the boom of popularity of the Web, causing its wide use among Unix users and distribution with most major Linux distributions.

It has been used as the basis for graphical programs such as GWget for the GNOME Desktop.

You will be using it alot if you download keys or software from GIT repositories.
