Hypertext Markup Language - HTML

Undefined

Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is the default language for creating web pages and web applications. The HTML elements are the building blocks in HTML pages. With HTML constructions, images and other objects, such as interactive shapes, can embed in the rendered static page.

It provides a way to create structured documents by specifying structural semantics for text like headings, paragraphs, lists, links, quotes, and other objects.

HTML elements are delimited by tags, written using angles. Tags like <img /> and <input /> present content directly on the page.

After the HTML and HTML + exposures expired in early 1994, IETF created an HTML workgroup, which completed "HTML 2.0" in 1995, the first HTML specification was intended to be treated as a standard against which future implementations should be based.

In 2000, HTML also became an international standard (ISO / IEC 15445: 2000). HTML 4.01 was published in late 1999, with further errata published in 2001.

During 2004, the development of HTML5 in the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG), which became a joint with W3C 2008, was completed and standardized on October 28, 2014.
