McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise for Linux

Undefined

McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise for Linux uses a unique, Linux-based on-access scanner that constantly monitors your system. Automatic updates protect your company from the latest threats without requiring the system to restart.

McAfee Virusscan Enterprise for Linux 2.0 - 2.01 uses fanotify technology instead of the traditional core hooks for OAS. Fanotify is a new file access system built for kernel 2.6.38 and later.

This new technology removes the hassle of compiling OAS core modules after the kernel update, ensuring that your Linux system is always protected.

In tests conducted by AV-TEST Lab 09/2015, McAfee VirusScan Enterprise for Linux (former LinuxShield) shows a 85.1% detection rate when tested against Windows-based threats and 41.9% for Linux-based threats.

But on their own website you can read that they are a VB100 prize winner for 100% detection of "in the wild" samples, plus zero false positives.
