OpenRA Dune 2000

OpenRA Dune 2000 is a real-time strategy video game, originally developed by Intelligent Games.

It was released by Westwood Studios in 1998 for Microsoft Windows and was later ported to the PlayStation in 1999.

It is a partial remake of Dune II, which is loosely based on Frank Herbert's Dune universe.

The story of the game is similar to Dune II, and is continued in Emperor: Battle for Dune.

OpenRA Dune 2000.

The game uses a similar game engine to Westwood's Command & Conquer: Red Alert.

OpenRA is distributed as portable AppImages that run on most modern 64-bit Linux distributions.

License: Freeware / GNU/GPL

Size: 24,1MB

So begin by downloading the appimage here.

I recommend creating a games directory under home/username and copy the appimage there.

So open a terminal window:

cd Games

Press Enter,

Then make the appimage executable:

chmod +x OpenRA-Dune-2000-x86_64.AppImage

Press Enter,

Now just type:

And the game begins.

NOTE: I recommend you create a Game directory under home/username/Games, where you put all AppImage games and logos, then create a launcher on your desktop.
