STEALTH "DROP" Port, Ports In IPTables Firewall

STEALTH "DROP" Port, Ports in IPTables firewall.

By stealth, it means the port is closed for connections and will not respond at all, so if for example you have a FTP-server and want to block the port 21, then you type the following command in a terminal window.

STEALTH "DROP" Port, Ports in IPTables firewall.

iptables -A INPUT -s -m tcp --dport 21 -j DROP

To open up the port again, simply change DROP to ALLOW.
