Unpack .ace Files With Unace

English

Unpack .ace files with unace.

The chance that you encounter an ( .ace ) file that you need to unpack under Linux is quite small, but sometimes it happens. Documentation and examples of how to install and use the "unace" program under Linux is, at best, almost non-existent.

Unpack .ace files with unace.

We can start by "uninstalling unace v1.2" which is available in Debian's repository, because the program is not working, so there is no need to install it.

What you need to do is simply load unace v2.7 Read More Here and install the program via a terminal window.

Download the .deb file here.

sudo dpkg -i unace-nonfree_2.5-7_amd64.deb

Press Enter.

Set in the same folder as the file you want to unpack and type the following command:

unace x filename.ace

Press Enter.
