Wire is an encrypted E2EE instant messaging client for Linux

Undefined

Wire is an encrypted E2EE instant messaging client for instant messaging and conversation over the Internet. The software is developed by Wire Swiss and is released under GPLV3 / AGPLV3.

End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is a communication system where only the communicating users can read the messages. In principle, it prevents potential eavesdroppers - including telecom providers, ISPs, and even the provider of the Communication Service - from accessing the cryptographic keys needed to decrypt the conversation.

The program comes without ads, as well as available for iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, MacOS and browser clients.

It uses the Internet to make voice and video calls, send text messages, files, images, videos, audio files, and user drawings depending on which clients are using.

It can be used on any of the available clients, which requires a phone number or e-mail for registration.
