XSane is a functional GUI (Scanner Access Now Easy) interface.

XSane can be run as a standalone program or via GIMP's image manipulation program. In standalone mode, xsane can save an image to a file in a wide variety of image formats, serve as an interface to a fax program, or send an image to a printer.

XSane is designed to acquire photos via scanners (there are other devices such as cameras and video devices supported by SANE, but XSane is not intended for this purpose).

The program supports webcams.

How to install via Terminal window:

sudo apt-get install xsane

Press Enter, done.
