Stremio - All you can watch for Linux Debian 11 / LMDE5.
Stremio allows streaming content for free online and it is an easy to use application, but not all streamed content is "free", so it is strongly recommended to use a trusted, no logs VPN for your own security.
While Stremio itself is 100% legal software, piracy isn’t and if you stream pirated content, you could be held liable.
That’s why you need a good VPN, not a free or even a paid one that logs everything and then sells your data to everything from an advertisement agency to a government agency or copyright holders, where the latter could demand that your ISP send you a notification of copyright infringement with a settlement offer.
In some more serious cases: copyright holders aren’t interested in warning alleged pirates, they want to sue them and/or extract a cash settlement.
VPN recommendations:
No logs verified, High speed, Strong encryption and Multi-hop etc.
Many sites recommend VPN's, that have secretly logged their users traffic and then sold or turned over users information.
Examples of no-logs VPN's that actually logs users, despite a no-logs policy:
-
EarthVPN - Have provided user logs to authorities in several cases.
-
HideMyAss VPN provided user logs to FBI who were investigating a criminal case in 2011.
-
IPVanish provided user logs to authorities who were investigating a criminal case in 2018.
-
PureVPN who provided user logs to FBI who were investigating a criminal case in 2017.
There are others, that are no-logs as well, but they are a part of the same network of servers, so I wouldn't put much trust in them.
Stremio supports the following: Linux, Mac OS, Windows ( Beta ), Android and iOS.
Stremio It is a good solution for people that simply can't afford paying for streaming services.
Stremio has plenty of addons that offer properly licensed content and none of Stremio’s addons are installed on the user’s computer. This means that a rogue developer can't run any malicious code on your system.
Disclaimer: Linuxexperten.com does not recommend you to do anything illegal and if you do, you are on your own.
