MEGA CLOUD Leaking User Accounts For Years.

MEGA (MEGA Encrypted Global Access) is a cloud storage and file hosting service offered by MEGA Limited, a company that is based in Auckland, New Zealand.

The service is offered through web-based apps. MEGA mobile apps are also available for Android and iOS.

The website and service was launched on 19 January 2013, by Kim Dotcom, together with chief technical officer, director its and co-founder Mathias Ortmann, chief marketing officer Finn Batato and Bram van der Kolk.

All data uploaded to Mega services is end-to-end encrypted, using client-side AES algorithm. This means Mega does not know the encryption keys to the and files, thus they cannot decrypt and view the content. As such, they cannot be responsible for the contents of uploaded files.

By encrypting files MEGA can work with a larger number of data hosting companies around the world, decreasing the likelihood of a Megaupload-style seizure of servers by one government, ever happening.

MEGA uses CloudRAID technology, which means that the files are split into roughly equal-sized parts and stored in several different countries.

Like many other MEGA has a Bounty program, offering up to €10,000 for reporting security problems to MEGA, but it doesn 't seem to be enough for the hackers.

Every day, yes ( every day ) there are leaks on hacking forums like Breached.to, vc or others, giving hackers access to your private photos etc.

This means nudes, travel photos and more:

I bet that if I was a Blackhat, you would be in trouble, because your girlfriend would not like having her nudes all over the Internet, parents and kins, you know.

That being said, you should really know what you are doing when configuring a new device and not even think of uploading to the cloud, if you are intelligent.

All and any things, needed to be kept private, should be stored on a device, encrypted and 100% offline.

According to the latest 2021 report, MEGA now has over 230 million registered users in more than 200 countries and territories. In total, Mega's users have uploaded more than 100 billion distinct files.

So think before using the cloud:

Some devices are more vulnerable than others and the cloud, which consists of basically servers or ( computers ) with a specific software, owned by a company, can give you trouble, if it is not up-to-date or misconfigured.

Todays leak consist of 400+ accounts, but not all has a lot of information/photos in them.

The hacker was kind enough to specify the content of each account.

Examples of leaks:

450 accounts was leaked on September 17th, 2022.

700 accounts was leaked February 2nd, 2023.

Today on February the 13th almost 400 new accounts leaked.

One of them was:

felipesalazar.ventas[@]gmail...:Password removed | Quota = 0/50 GB | Number of files = 146 | File#1 = Camera uploads | File#2 = super mega packetaxo | File#3 = (Ultra) Mega Packetazo | File#4 = Warm Chalett | File#5 = Video | File#6 = Unknown | File#7 = Universitaria | File#8 = Uniformada | File#9 = Una Cosplayer | File#10 = Una amateur | File#11 = Uff, esa paletita | File#12 = Two Girls | File#13 = Twitahh | File#14 = Tipa Chida | File#15 = Thirteen | File#16 = Tetonas | File#17 = Tetona en la Playa | File#18 = Sub-pack | File#19 = Star Wars |

However by now, I guess most accounts has been accessed so many times and items downloaded, that MEGA will have blocked almost all login attempts, or have they ?

You might belive your files are safe in the cloud, but they are not !

MEGA is huge amongst filesharing hackers, especially ONLYFANS womens photos and videos are shared on daily basis, not mentioning the sites that publish the leaks.

Heck I had an backup account with them, until I realized how stupid it was, seeing how easy it is to hack accounts.
