The company behind NordVPN has decided to change its licenses on three of its products from proprietary to opensource GPL3.0 license.
The Linux app code was released on GitHub and it is the latest version: 3.16.0.
Now you can download the code from here.
Programmers and hackers ( pentesters ) in the Linux community can now examine the code, alter it and distribute the app with a GUI, if they wish to do so.
"If, for example, you think the Linux NordVPN application could be improved upon or its functionalities changed in some way, you can experiment with the code and create your own version."
"We want the input and scrutiny of the coding community and to show you that we have confidence in our own software." NordVPN says.
